Mr. Cornelis WINKEL - Rte 2, Schoolcraft, passed away Tuesday morning, January 13, 1976. Mr. WINKEL was born August 12, 1899, in the Netherlands, son of John and Rena WINKEL and was a resident of the Kalamazoo area since 1920. Before his retirement in 1965, he was employed by the M. W. Vander Veen Construction Co. May 5, 1936, he was married to Margie KNAPPER, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Neil of Schoolcraft; 4 grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters in the Netherlands; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, John in 1966. Service arrangements will be announced later by the Langeland Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Friends may call at the chapel. Have to laugh, I guess I didn't have it entered for Margie Wiersma that she was adopted out to the Knapper family. I have just updated that information. I don't know adoption dates or given names of adoptive parents at this time.
