[add comment] [edit] NH vs. Mass. [21 January 2010]Previous comment on this page said Dunstable, Mass was part of NH in 1719. Actually, this is exactly backwards. Summarizing history given at front of Dunstable, Mass., vital records, p. 4: Dunstalbe incorporated 1673. In 1733 part became Nottingham, NH. In 1735 part became Litchfield, NH. When Massachusetts boundary change in 1741, a "large part" of the town was included in NH. But in 1719, this area was unambiguously Dunstable, Massachusetts. --Jrich 18:36, 21 January 2010 (EST) |
