Person talk:Benjamin Pollard (4)

Pollard's Bend [10 April 2015]

I have been researching the area in Cherokee County, Alabama known all my life as Pollard's Bend. I have took the ordinary land deeds of the area and have researched each person on the deeds. William B Pollard and B.G. Pollard buying land together and feel that Benjamin and B.G. Pollard are the same person. William and B.G. Pollard are both on the 1840 Census as well as James. Eli is also on the deeds in a different location in the Bend. Also by researching the deeds, I have found that another set of Pollards lived in Cherokee County then they would go across the Coosa River and have land in Etowah County, Alabama. They claim that William Pollard is the ancestor which is also Benjamin and William etc. Pollards weren't the only families of the bend that went from one county to the other. I am also been told by the family that my gggrand father John Higgins and his wife Rebecca Lenderman, daughter of Henry Lenderman came with the Pollards to the Bend about 1838. Rebecca's family also owned land on the Reedy River. I also found out that she was pregant when they lefted South Carolina (Her family asked to leave). Also Rebecca's siblings married into the Pollard family. Also, my best friend is Vickie Pollard Garmon who is an descendant of the Pollards. I would like to share my information on the land deeds with you. We (DAR of Barry Springs, Centre, Alabama) are planning to publish the history as soon as I can write it, but I want to vertify my information.--Pollard's Bend 09:06, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
