birth date [2 December 2021]

I removed the birth date "28 Aug 1643" in Watertown, as Barnabas bought land in 1660, and in order to be of legal age, was born by 1639. The currently shown baptism in England in 1628, and alternate birth about 1639, are obviously mutually inconsistent but I don't have enough knowledge to decide which is likely. The Eddy Family does not even give a clue whether the parents married in England or New England and the children were only said to "probably" have been born in Watertown. Barnabas' birth is not listed in Watertown Records. There are six IGI records for the baptism in 1628, but the locations vary, all are member-submitted, and not based on parish registers, so of no credibility. --Jrich 10:48, 21 April 2011 (EDT)

Addendum. NEHGR 159:129, in a footnote, says the baptism is found at St. Clements, not St. Nicholas, and is for Barnabas, s/o Barnabas and Hannah "Winds" [citing Suffolk County Historical Society Register, p. 2:1], but indicates it has not been shown yet to be the same person. --Jrich 11:11, 21 April 2011 (EDT)

I removed the 1639 birth year, which appears to be speculation and kept the baptism date (and fixed the place). At least it has a source and is a possibility.--DataAnalyst 20:46, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
