[add comment] [edit] Three Begraven Events for Antje Jeltes [17 November 2012]I see three possible begraven events from TRESOAR. Perhaps someone with a better feel for the geography can rule out all but one.
--Pkeegstra 18:00, 11 November 2012 (EST) Well she was still living by the wedding of her son Willem, June 1811, so I searched and found her death record. For Harlingen you can lookup this page: Harlingen --Klaas 04:34, 12 November 2012 (EST) Thank you so much to both you and Jennifer for sharing with me your advanced techniques. I had just found the Harlingen site yesterday, but I hadn't thought to look for Antje Jeltes there. BTW, did she have a brother who took the last name Visser/Fisser? (The begraven for her mother talks about a son, and Dirk's overlijden calls her Fisser.) --Pkeegstra 07:48, 12 November 2012 (EST)
Were the Tjallingii minor nobility, or merely wealthy merchants? I saw Floris Jeltes in two Memories: Geertruida Tjallingii and Frans van Esta. He was listed right next to the dienstmeid, which makes me think he was simply a family employee of some sort. In addition, it is not obvious to me which of the three persons named Floris Jeltes the Memories refer to: Floris Jeltes (Visser), Floris Jeltes Visser, or Floris Jeltes Langendijk. (I suspect that the three are second cousins. I'll see what I can find for that.) Note also that Frans van Esta Tjallingii the namesake of Frans van Esta was his nephew, since Frans and Geertruida were childless. Was this common? --Pkeegstra 09:34, 17 November 2012 (EST) |
