[add comment] [edit] death date [8 January 2015]I removed the Ancestry sourced death date of 28 Apr 1851 Haverhill, Essex, Massachusetts. No marriage was given, no such record was found after various fuzzy searches (all Anns in Haverhill in 1850, all Ann Peaslees, all deaths in 1851 listing a father named Moses Peaslee, etc.). The Gove book says that Anna is the Nancy Peaslee that married in Newton 1792 John French "of Kingston", https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-12115-99349-26?cc=1520640. Presumably the 1851 death date is a bad entry of the death of "Mrs Ann French" of Kingston, NH, [1] on 28 Nov 1850 (i.e., not 1851)? But the age at death in that record, 93, works out to a birth about 1757 and so is not a particularly good match to Anna's birth in 1764, nor does the record identify this lady as the wife or widow of John French. On the one hand I wish to correct what appears to be an erroneous date that cannot be located anywhere, but on the other hand, the only candidate is a poor match that I cannot justify as the right answer. So I simply removed the apparently erroneous date... --Jrich 00:49, 9 January 2015 (UTC) |
