- New information to add (1/6/14): This Andrew Hall was NOT married a 2nd time. It must have been his son, Andrew Hall, Jr., who was married to Isabella McClure/McCluer. If one will note, the will of Andrew Hall was proven in Rockbridge court in February of 1799 - several months before his "alleged" marriage to Isabella in May of that same year. Also Andrew's will states his wife's name at the time of his death, which was Margaret. Through Rockbridge Co. Chancery records (specifically the case of Administrator of Andrew Hall, Plaintiff vs. Thomas McCluer, etc., Defendants; Index #: 1841-021, Original case #: 9.35, and is 168 pages long), it appears that Andrew Jr. died intestate in 1832 (page 12 of document), as his son Alexander Mc. Hall becomes the administrator of his father's estate in 1837. (I suspect that Alexander's abbreviated middle name "Mc" is short for McClure).
- I changed the above information to correct the error of his date and place of death as well as the 2nd marriage.
