Nathaniel Ewing and wife Rachel Porter are said to be the parents of Alexander Ewing (3).

Nathaniel's will survives and is extracted from Ewings in Early America as:

Nathaniel Ewing’s Administration Bond is located in Cecil Co., Maryland Administration Bonds Liber 2 page 235 and is only dated 1748. However, his Inventory located in Inventories 3, pp228-229 is dated 3 July 1749. His Account is located in Accounts 2, page 230 and 231 dated 18 June 1750, and gives the names and approximate ages of his children

William;

Sarah Potts wife of Robert Potts;

Ann Breading wife of James Breading;

John Ewing, about seventeen;

James Ewing about seventeen;

Rachel M. about fifteen;

George Ewing about twelve;

Alexander Ewing about ten;

Samuel Ewing about eight.

The Account was made by Rachel Ewing and William Ewing. Joshua Ewing and James Breading were sureties.
