Based on the recorded death at Weathersfield, Vermont, in 1772, it seems unlikely that Zophar/Zopher Tuttle had ever removed to Pennsylvania. Son John stayed in Vermont; he, his mother and her second husband are also buried in the Tuttle Cemetery. Son Ezra Tuttle and his Blakeslee step-brothers removed to and are buried at Springville, Pennsylvania.

"… Benjamin Allen … Unfortunately … met his death by drowning in April, 1774. The first recorded death, however, preceded this by two years, for Zopher Tuttle died as a young man on April 18, 1772. His son, John, born the year before, September 18, 1771, was certainly the first white child born in Weathersfield."
