162 Zachariah Eddy (Zachariah, Zachariah, Samuel, William), b. Sept. 13, 1691; d. after July 15, 1743 (Glooster Deeds, 5.332) and before Nov. 1, 1749; m. Ruth Thornton who died after 1770. She m. (2) before Nov. 1, 1749 Valentine Inman, whose first wife was Barbara Ballou. Thomas Thornton of Freetown, Mass., whose wife was Mehitable Tripp, left a will, which was proved Apr. 21, 1730, in which he mentions "daughter Ruth Eddy" (Austin, p. 201).
