At Barkersville, Saratoga Co., N. Y., July 21st, 1870, of heart disease, Dr. Zaccheus Burdick, in the 75th year of his age. The subject of this notice made a public profession of religion when about 40 years of age, and united with the Christian Church of Galway. About seventeen years ago, he was led to investigate the subject of the Sabbath, and on becoming convinced that the seventh day of the week was the Sabbath of the Bible, he came out boldly in its observance. Being isolated from the people of his choice, he never united with any Sabbath-keeping church, but remained true to his principles, until called away to enjoy the eternal Sabbath in heaven. He leaves an aged widow, a large family of children, and many friends, to mourn his loss.
