William F. Stump, 82, of Lindsey Ct., Bowling Green, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee. He was born September 5, 1921, in Rising Sun, OH to Edgar F. and Velma (Patton) Stump. He married Virginia Halfhill on December 31, 1941, and she preceded him in death on January 1, 2003. Mr. Stump was employed by Bell Telephone for 40 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #575 and the Masonic Lodge, all in Gibsonburg.

Surviving are a daughter, Carol Szana of Bowling Green; foster daughter, Linda Villa of Erie, Colorado and grandchildren, Susan Hubbell, Steve Copley and Toni Nehls. There are 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Robert of Rising Sun, Harold of Bellevue and a sister, Margrete Stahl of Kansas, OH. He was preceded in death by brother, Edgar, Jr. and sister, Jeanine Stump.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, May 21, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Dunn Funeral Home. Rev. Dale Schaefer will officiate. Burial is in Restlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church Building Fund. On line condolences may be sent at www.dunnfuneralhome.com
