Garden City (Kansas) Telegram: Posted on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 2:10:28 PM Winnifred Giesaking, 74, of Chandler, Ariz., died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, in Chandler. She was born April 30, 1930, in Wichita, to Fred and Pauline Tullis. She grew up in Hutchinson, was a former resident of Garden City and Ulysses, and had resided in Chandler since 1985.

On Oct. 8, 1950, she married Lawrence H. Giesaking in Garden City. He died July 30, 1998. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Tullis; and a half sister, Mildred Strausheim.

Survivors include a son, Mark Giesaking of Ulysses; five daughters, Patricia Barnes and Janet Chastain, both of Hutchinson, Karen Solt of Wamego, Susan Giesaking of Chandler, and Christine Wooley of Ulysses; a brother, Paul Tullis of Chandler; two sisters, Thelma Tullis and Helen Wells, both of Mesa, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, officiated by Loren Mai, pastor. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
