Spooner, Wing, s. Samuel (Spoonr), [born] Apr. 30, ---[torn].
↑ The birth estimate of bef. 1708 is based on Wing's marriage in 1729, assuming he was of legal age. This is about all we can hazard with any confidence. Clearly the year cannot be determined from the vital record. It is physically possible to squeeze him in earlier than the last child, but positioning him last appears to be the most natural assumption. The sons are mentioned multiple times in the father's will (see Source:Spooner, Thomas. Records of William Spooner, of Plymouth, Mass., and His Descendants, p. 1:30) so it is not clear that birth order is honored, though we can say that Wing is the last son to make his appearance in the will. Allowing a typical 2 year spacing from the previous child, his birth might be 30 Apr 1707, but it would be risky to assert that for which there is no actual evidence.
