    Wilma June Meddock
    September 17, 1939 - June 5, 2019
    Wilma June Meddock, a frequent resident at Lake Roaming Shores and mother of the late Pymatuning Valley High School principal Jeffrey Meddock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
    Born September 17, 1939 in Canonsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard M. Phillips, Sr. and Elizabeth (Bock) Phillips. She was a graduate of South Fayette High School and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from California University (PA). She was a majorette in both high school and college and taught elementary school in Pennsylvania at South Fayette and the Baden-Economy School District.
    She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dale Meddock. She was the mother of three sons-Shawn, Michael, and Jeffrey (1970-2008)-and dear grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Shawn, Liam, Molly, Ben, Paige, Amber, and Carson.
    She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Lee and Dixie, and was preceded in death by her brother, Howard.
    Wilma enjoyed bowling, cooking for family, visiting with friends and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She also was an avid Words with Friends player.
    Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA 15003. A memorial service will be officiated by the Reverend Jason Coley at 10 AM on Saturday at the same location, with interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery in Bridgeville, PA.
    In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider donating to the Jeffrey B. Meddock Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA 15003.
