Willis Dillon applied 21 April 1851 in Pike County for bounty land under the act of 28 Sept 1850. He stated in his affidavit that he served as a Private under Capt John Bond in the 3rd Regiment of Mounted Riflemen commanded by Col Russell in the war with the Creek Indians, that he volunteered at the residence of Captain Ginn in "now Pike County" in Aug 1813, and was discharged at Fort Claiborne in Alabama after serving six months. He subsequently mustered into service about 4 Jan 1815, a few days before the Battle of New Orleans, and served three months under Col George H. Nixon, and was discharged in Marion County, Mississippi upon the close of the War with Great Britain.
Willis also made application in Pike County 2 June 1855 for additional bounty land to which he was entitled under the act of 3 March 1855.
