From the will [written 1772] of Thomas Parsons, Sr., [first] Father-in-law of William Welton:

Item I do give and bequeath unto my sons in law William Welton and Robert Cunningham a certain tract of land containing two hundred and ninety acres situated and lying on the head of North Mill Creek adjoining the upper tract [now Pendleton Co., WV]. The deed being in my own name. And lastly I so nominate constitute and appoint my truly and well beloved sons Thomas Parsons and James Parsons my sole executors of this my last will and Testament disallowing and making void all forementioned wills and bequeaths by me formerly made in whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the year and day and date above written.
