"William Worth Wardwell, 40, of Annapolis, Md., and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Jan. 22, 2002, at his home in Annapolis.

Will was a graduate of Orange High School and Ithaca College, where he received his degree in his lifelong passion of filmmaking. He is survived by mother, Emily Worth Bateson (Russell) of Akron; sister, Lydia Zimmerman (Henry III) of Pepper Pike; brother, Timothy Wardwell (Paula) of Parker, Colo.; father, S. McBurney Wardwell of Clearwater, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Emily, Lucy, and Henry Zimmerman IV, and Sarah and Daniel Wardwel

A memorial service will be held at the Federated Church on Bell Street in Chagrin Falls on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the William Worth Wardwell Fund to sponsor the annual Best Student Short Film Award presented by the Cleveland Film Society.
