    William D. Tyree Jr., 72, of the 2500 block of Narrow Street, a pastor, died Dec. 23, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

    He was born in Kimball, W.Va. [sic!], and was the pastor of First Baptist Church in Berkeley.

    He is survived by his wife, Josephine Tyree; two daughters, Linda Tyree Kyle and her husband, James, and Sabrina Tyree Pugh and her husband, Kenneth; one son, Rev. William D. Tyree III and his wife, Shirley; three sisters, Wilma Carr, Mildred Sloan and Evelyn Hardin; four brothers, Joseph E. Tyree and his wife, Marguerite, Elbert M. Tyree and his wife, Mary, Gerald E. Tyree and his wife, Ethel, and John B. Tyree and his wife, Betty; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

    The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Berkeley, by Dr. A.C.D. Vaughn. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling the arrangements. Viewing will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the church. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. the day of the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
