    Gives birth year as 1786 and death about 1846 in Illinois, with no source for either.

    Wikipedia gives a birth year of 1798 with no source. If so, he was the son of Rhoda Skinner (Parshall's second wife), but she had son Timothy in 1798 (see FAG for Timothy's gravestone). Given that William served in the militia in the War of 1812, it seems likely that he was born about 1786, not 1798.
