    Death of Will Sterrett
    Dr. William H. C. Sterrett, was born in our little city, May 19, 1870, where he grew to manhood, graduating from our High school in the class of 1888, be second of his class to have answered the final summons; "Dick" Irvin of that class having died five years ago, leaving in the surviving list of that class, Mrs. Anna Luckhardt-Bell, of Boonville; Maud McKnight of the state of Washington and Charley Trimble, of Kansas City.

    Following his graduation here he attended the Missouri Medical college of St. Louis, taking a full course and graduated with the class of 1891, receiving the degree of Doctor of Medicine and began his professional career at Corning, Mo., where in May 1895 he married to Miss Helen McGinnis, who died without issue, December 16, 1904.

    Death came to Mr. Sterrett as the result of and accident, by falling down the stairway, which was immediately fatal, while a guest at Excelsior Springs, Mo., Thursday July 28, 1910. The body was brought to this city, and the funeral services were held from the home of his sister, Mrs. Cora Burgess, on Saturday July 30th, and were conducted by Rev. T. C. Taylor, pastor of the M. E. church, the interment being in Maple Grove cemetery.
