He married, April 29, 1736, Clemence, daughter of Nehemiah and Clemence (Hosmer) Olmsted, who died June 8, 1782, aged sixty-eight. … William Stanley was one of the first of the name who moved east of the Connecticut river; probably a clothier by trade.
