  2.   This record could actually be incorrect, meaning, this William E. is most likely not the son of William Edward Smith, son of William and Mary Smith.

Another death record for a Dorothy Harrison Smith <https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2W1H-3ND>, indicates she had parents, William E. Smith and Dora Irons. While she could very well be a daughter of this particular family, it states that she is Black and William Edward Smith [of William Edward and Mary (Corsey/Jubb/Thubb) Smith] is listed on all other records as Caucasian. Could it be a coincidence that this William E. died a day after the William E. Smith buried in Green-Wood cemetery, according to the Green-Wood cemetery website? Since this William's death record does not indicate where he is buried, this deserves further research.
