William, son of Jonathan and Jane (Currence) Smith, marrie d Esther, daughter of Joseph Pitman, he was born in 1777, and died in 1852. Their children were: Jane, who maried Bennoni Lazure; Samuel, who married Kitie Mace; Nancy, who married Jacob Wilmoth; Judy, who married Fredinand Mace; Christina, who married John Smith; Elizabeth, and Mary who died young.
