    31 May 1744: Deliverence Shattuck wid'w, William Shattuck, Nathaniel Blood, and Ebenezer Nutting, heirs of W'm Shattuck Late of Groton excepting one who lives at a great distance, have unanimously chosen a committee to appraise the estates.
    1 Jun 1744: Inventory of William Shattuck Late of Groton Dec'd: not totalled, by Jonathan Sheple, John Gilson and Dudley Bradford. Includes "Land in William Shattucks hands" £27-10-00 [apparently the son's whole portion as he does not participate in distribution].
    15 Jun 1744: Petition of Deliverance Shattuck widdow: my late husband William Shattuck of Groton Late Departed, requests son-in-law JOhn Suttuck be appointed administrator. Endorsement of William Shattuck ye eldest son, also Nathaniel Blood, Ebenezer Nutting heirs of the estate.Bond given 2 Jul 1744.
