The brass founder William living in St John, New Brunswick, born Edinburgh supposedly 29 Mar 1829 is assumed to be the William born to John RUNCIMAN, tinsmith & Margaret MILNE on 29 Apr 1892 despite the different birth month.
William in New Brunswick has the right occupation, naming pattern, and relations who emigrated to Nova Scotia (see the Annapolis RUNCIMANs). This conclusion being corroborated by his daughter Jessie being found staying with her "cousin" Isabella Fitz Randolph, nee Runciman, in Nova Scotia in 1891
Further information of William's family may be found on the RUNCIMAN One Name Study
