    'From the account, dated August 27, 1677, it appears that Roberts was survived by his wife, and that his son, William Roberts, died before 1677, perhaps from wounds received at the time of the Indian attack.'

    'William. He was called "a simple youth" in 1669 in a court record. He was not living in 1724, and the funeral charges mentioned in the administrator's account of his father's estate were probably his.'
