    :15Son of the Jane Price mentioned as sister in the will of Thomas Smith (d. 1722) (supra) and father of Catherine ("Kittie:) Price (who was born Dec. 10, 1753, died June 9, 1805, and married, in 1778, Midshipman Benjamin Strother of the Virginia Revolutionary Navy) (q.v.) Aug., 25, 1740, Mr. Thomas Price, Burgess, accepted office as Clerk of Middlesex County. (Journals of the House of Burgesses, vol. 6, page 439.). William Price (supra) was, therefore, a son of John Price and his wife, Jane Smith, daughter of "Mr. John Smith" whose will was probated April 3, 1722. "At a meeting of the Vestry of Christ Church Parish in Middlesex County the 9th Day of October 1721" "Capt. John Smith" was present and "Mr. John Price" was added to the Vestry. On Oct. 10, 1723, "Mr. John Price having taken the Oath of a Vestry Man, Satt Accordingly." "Christ Church Parrish, Middlesex County, Dr. Nobr 5th 1678. To Mr. Robert Price 167" (lbs. of tobbacco). March 31, 1682. "ordered by this p'sent Vestry that Mr. Oswald Cary, Mr. Robert Dudley, Mr. Alexander Smith and Mr. Robert Price have notice by the Clerk of this parish to be present the 27th Instant, to be Sworne Vestrymen for the said parish."
