Sarah Francis, 26 Feb., 1691; drew ld. in 1695 allotment; was, in 1704, 'a poor and indigent' person, when his 3 ch. were 'put out' or apprenticed to the Town, as follows: Thomas, ae. 2 yrs. to John Dix; Mary, ae 4, to Edward Bulkeley; Abigail, 1 yr. to Nath'l Hun. Powell must have d. prior to 1714 as the Town built 'a little home' for his wid. before that date. His s. Thomas … then a minor abt. 11 yrs. old, son of William, 'supposed to have departed this life,' was by Ct. of Prob., placed under the guardianship of John Stillman, of Weth., 9 Apl., 1713."
