William T. PAWSON (b. England) and wife Martha E GARDNER (b. WI) moved from Hastings, NE to a homestead in Archer, Laramie Co, WY in the late 1880's where they had the last 4 of their 14 children. Wm. & Martha divorced in 1902 and Wm. moved to Salt Lake City, UT. Martha stayed on the homestead until 1907 when she moved to Payette, ID. Their son Joseph E. PAWSON (b. Chicago) married Kate HILER (b. IL) in Cheyenne in 1903 and had two children, Inez (moved to a foster home in CA) and Joseph Jr. (died in infancy). Kate was the daughter of Joseph HILER (b. KY) and Martha QUIGLEY (b. IL), who were living in Beaver Creek Settlement, Uinta Co, WY in 1880. Kate had previously been married to a man named BELCHER and is believed to have had several children by him. Kate and Joseph PAWSON divorced in 1907 in Cheyenne. Joseph then married Maude VanSickle in Greeley, CO and Kate married Willaim THOMPSON and had two children by him, Agness & James. Kate died in Cheyenne in Oct 1934 and Joseph died in Greeley in Aug 1945.
