Death of Dr. W.B. Montgomery

Last Monday night the subject of this note peacefully passed from death unto life. He was about 80 years of age, an excellent citizen, and the oldest practitioner of Adair county. He was a man of strong convictions and his opinions given much respect.

He was the father of Hon. J.F. Montgomery, this city, and Dr. Ulysses Montgomery, of Louisville. He was a consistent Christian gentleman and was ready to meet his God. He lived in the vicinity of Joppa and his place will be hard to fill.
