Obituary
Billy Medaugh
Billy "Bill" Medaugh, 80, of Victorville, passed away Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007. Bill was born on June 30, 1926, in Ohio City, Ohio, to Earl and Phoebe Medaugh. He was preceded in death by his four sisters Betty, Helen, Donna and Marie. He graduated high school in 1944 whereupon he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Bill had the distinction of serving in all three branches of the military. After the Navy enlistment, he joined the U.S. Army and then transferred into the newly formed U.S. Air Force. He retired in 1970 from the 692nd Radar Station in Baudette, Minn. He was assigned to work for Gen. MacArthur at his headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service. After retiring from the military, he worked in the Civil Service as a commissary manager at George Air Force Base. Bill was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, horse racing and attending football games with his son Brian. His biggest passion was fishing for Walleye on Lake of the Woods in Northern Minnesota. Bill is survived by ... Arrangements are being made by the family and Victor Valley Mortuary. The family would appreciate no phone calls during this difficult time.
