"4 William1 Mead (PriscillaA, RichardB) was baptized at Watford, Hertfordshire, on 27 December 1592. He married Philip _____, who died at Stamford on 19 September 1657. As 'Wm Mayd' he was granted five acres with woodland in Stamford on 7 December 1641. He is last of record in Stamford when he supported a bond for [his son-in-law] John Richardson on 27 March 1657, although he was probably living the following 19 September, when the death record for Philip calls her the wife, rather than widow, of William. Jacobus suggests that he "may have moved, as did the rest of the family, to Greenwich, Conn.'"
