Obituary

WILLIAM M'KELLAR BURIED MONDAY Ten Children Survive; 33 Grandchildren

 William MacKellar, aged 73 passed away at his home here Friday, Nov. 4, after a lengthy illness.  Mr. MacKellar was well known in Kalkaska having lived here since 1931.  The following is known of his life:
 William MacKellar was born in Canada, January 5th, 1859.  At the early age of two years he moved with his parents to Michigan where he has lived since.  In 1880 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Carl and to their union ten children, seven boys and three girls were born.  They are all living and are:  Mrs. Amanda Belcher, Mrs. Ella Rodabaugh of here, Mrs. Margaret Ferguson fo Pellston, Arthur and LaVerne of here, William and Frank of Owosso, Lyle of Cadillac, Floyd of Grand Rapids and Edward of Youngstown, Ohio.
 The family moved to Kalkaska in 1913 and the MacKellar home has remained here since.
 Besides his children he is survived by his wife, thirty-three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one brother, D.A. MacKellar of Canada, and one half-sister, Mrs. Mary O'Grady of Saginaw.  In addition to these many other relatives and a host of friends.
 Funeral services were held Monday at the home at two o'clock, Rev. F.I. Osborn officiating while L.M. Clapp was in charge of arrangements.  Interment was made in the Evergreen Cemetery.  A host of old friends neighbors and many of his relatives were present for his last rites.  The floral offerings were especially beautiful.
