    The eighth child of David McClung and Nancy Henderson McClung was born 20 Feb 1820. He married 29 May 1851 to Nancy Mitchell. He was a farmer and one of the founders of the Ohio State Agricultural College and a Superintendent and director of the same. He was a member of the Ohio State Legislature. He resided in Columbus, Ohio. They had two children. William died Sept 1898.
