    "26. William Judd, only son of John Judd, lived in Farmington. … He died Sept. 1,1751, in his 53d year. Inventory of his estate, £6095, old tenor. The inscription on his monument says:─'Liberality of sentiment, singular veracity, integrity and charity marked his character.'"

    Court Record. Page 47-3 December 1751: will and invt. exhibited. Widow Ruth appointed guardian to Jesse aged 12: William aged 3 and Elizabeth Aged 6.

    Page 59-5 March 1752: Azubah aged 16 chose Capt William Judd, Waterbury, to be her guardian.

    Page 45 (vol. XVIII) 6 February 1759. Ruth (widow) and one of the executors moves for setting out to Jesse and William."
