25 July 1795, Hampshire County, Virginia Court Minutes: Andrew Woodrow and others overseers of the poor for Hampshire County against William Herriott, John Blue and William Foreman. Upon a motion by the plaintiffs against the defendants for the sum of 10 pounds which was awarded against the said Harriott for the maintenance of a bastard child of which he is the father. Page 41.
