    Inscription
    In memory of William Gibbes, Esp.r who in several public stations and in the walks of private life during a period of 66 years endeavored to discharge the duties of a Christian, an honest man and a good citizen. His dust lies mingled here with that of several of his children and grand children died 2 Feb 1789 and beside him lies his beloved wife Mary who died on the 25th September 1799 aged about 65 years. On the north side of this stone lie the remains of Mrs Elizabeth Gibbes the beloved consort of William Hasell Gibbes.
