26 May 1820, Joseph Pernell of East Baton Rouge Parish deposes that Abiel Draughon settled and improved a tract in 1812 lying in EBR Parish on the SS of Comite River, and that the sd improvement was inhabited by William Draughon the son of Abiel Draughon, and was sold by sd William to William Hickman, who sold it to Thomas Shropshire.
