    The farm that William B. Douglas lived on was purchased by his half-brother John B. Douglas in 1822 from Samuel Cherry. John was on his way to Warren County from his home in Botetourt Co.,VA to get married when he died in lae 1822. This property stayed vacant until William's arrival in late 1847.

    A will has never been found.

    He was the first son of the 2nd marriage of John Douglas, Sr. to Catheine Sence.
