William Buck DEARING
Thursday last suddenly at the residence of Andrew Bower on what is know as the Fulcher's farm on the Moniteau. William DEARING aged 80 years Uncle Buck as he was familiarly called was well known throughout the northern section of the county where he has resided since boyhood, having located in this county in 1838. His father James DEARING was from Stokes county, North Carolina and located in this county at a very earl period. Uncle Buck was a man of postive character adhering steniously; at all time to his established views on religion, politics and minor questions and whilst he may have been slow to forgive or forget his honesty and intergrity was-conceded by all. His children of which we believed there are six living, are all married and have families including Squire Bud Dearing, J. E. L. DEARING, Mrs. Jessie PENNINGOTN, and Mrs. William GENTSCH of this county and Mrs. Squire Tom MOORE, who resided in the State of California. Uncle Buck was not connected with any church. His remaines were intered at the Dearing Burial grounds on the Cumberland Church lot at Jamestown.

Mr. Wm. DEARING (Uncle Buck) died last week and was buried at the C. P. church cemetery on last Friday, he was one of the oldest citizen residing in our township being 80 years old.
