    W. Frank Crouse, 95, 3040 Black Gap Road, died Sunday morning, July 20, 1980 at his home. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Price Crouse, in 1931 and by his second wife, Catherine K. Lauffer Crouse, in 1979.

    Mr. Crouse was born Jan 10, 1885 in Juniata County, son of the late William and Minnie Simonton Crouse.

    He retired in 1959 form a lifetime of farming and he had also done custom butchering in the Path Valley area for many years. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Shippensburg.

    He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Snook, McVeytown; Mrs.Melvin (Helen) Jaymes, Shade Gap; Mrs. Russell (Erma) Crider and Mrs. Irvin (Mildred) Coldsmith, both of Chambersburg and Mrs Arthur (Pauline) Nethkin of East Waterford; three sons, Dale N. Crouse, Lewsitown; Elmer A.Crouse, Roxbury; and Roy F. Crouse, Cumberland Highway; a step-son, Glenn N. Luaffer, Philadelphia Ave.; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Shearer, Shippensburg and Mrs. Hazel McGee, Dry Run; 35 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

    Burial will be in Doylesburg Cemetery.
