William G. Coyner, 51, owner and operator of the Avery elevator, died suddenly at 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning from an acute attack of indigestion. He had been ill throughout the night and had been attended by a physician earlier in the day.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the Methodist Episopal church with Rev. Claude McClurg officiating, assisted by Rev. Anderson of Hillisburg.

Interment will be in the crypt in a mausoleum in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Coyner was a native of Perry township, having been born near Colfax, the son of John and Rena (Boyd) Coyner. He spent his early life on the farm and attended the grade schools, later entering and graduating from the Kirklin High School. On July 14, he was united in marriage to Miss Ethel Singer, of Wabash county, the young couple establishing their home on a farm and residing there until Mr. Coyner purchased the Avery elevator, when he moved there, just south of the elevator on the northwest corner of the road crossing. This was in November 1924. During the years that Mr. Coyner had been in business, he had made many friends and was held in the highest esteem by residents of the entire community.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star at Colfax.

Within the past several weeks, Mr. Coyner ahd suffered several indigestion attacks, but quickly recoverded from each, feeling no ill effects within a few minutes. However, Friday, he became ill and when his condition failed to improve during the night, the attacks becoming recorrent and more severe at intervals, a pahysician was summoned from the town early yesterday. He failed to respond to medical aid and died shortly before the physician had returned to the city.

He is survived by his wife; his mother at Colfax; a brother, John, also residing at Colfax; two sisters, Mrs. M.M. Seager of Thorntown and Mrs. Brice Thurman of Frankfort; a niece, Maxine Springer of Indianapolis and a nephew, Ralph Springer, residing at the Coyner home.

County Coroner James Kent was called to the home to conduct an inquest into the death.
