    William (Buckland) d. (modern) East Hartford 12 Dec. 1724 (Manwaring, 2:476-77, where his will is abstracted). He was bur. Center Cem., East Hartford, the inscription read as: "d[ied| Dec 12, 17— age (90?) yrs." (g.s., Hale Coll., 13:56). His actual age was probably near 50 years. He m. by 1698 Elizaheth3 Hills, b. "say 1678" and living in Aug. 1729 (Manwaring, 3:15), daughter of John2 Hills (William1) and his wife Mary (-----) of East Hartford (Hale, House, 581). Elizabeth m. (2) bef.t Aug. 1729, as his 2d wife, James Forbes Jr., b. 14 May 1676 (Manwaring, 1:445, 3:x; Hartford Fams., 251), whose 1st wife had been Sarah3 Williams (William2).
