16 May 1799 William BROWN and Hannah his wife of Hardin County, State of Kentucky to Patrick BROWN of said county and state. For and in consideration of the sum of five pounds current money to them in hand paid have given, granted, Bargained and sell unto the said Patrick BROWN a Certain tract or parcel of Land contained by estimation three hundred and fifty and a half acres more or less lying in Hardin County on the West Fork of Nolin Creek being part of said William BROWN's eight hundred acre survey bordering the Northwest Corner of William BROWN's and the said William BROWN and his wife Hannah for themselves and their heirs do further covenant and agree with the said Patrick BROWN and his heirs three hundred and fifty nine and one half acres but will in no wise be responsible or in any way accountable for any claim that may be for the said Land or any Part of it.
