    4 William Broad [son of 3 William Broad], fisherman, Isles of Shoals and Great Isl. In 1666 he bot a house on Star Isl. which in 1670 he sold to Henry Brooking. In 1669 he bot house and 100 a. which next yr. he sold to Dygory Jeffrey. He was one of ten Shoals fishermen drowned in the great storm of 30 Jan. 1677-8. His inv. was larger than the total of the other nine:
