    Son of Thomas Bolling Sr. and Elizabeth Gay Bolling. He married Mary Randolph on 23 Feb 1798. Leader of militia during the War of 1812. The father of two deaf children, he brought a talented teacher to Bolling Hall, starting the organized teaching of the deaf in America.
