Daughter of Albert Phelps and Martha Lathrop Fish, his wife. Granddaughter of Jesse Fish and Mercy Taft, his wife; Benjamin Phelps and Sally Parke, his wife. (See No. 11969). Gr.-granddaughter of Dan Taft and Sarah Comstock, his wife; Moses Fish and Mary Avery, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Silas Taft and Elizabeth Cruff, his wife; Thomas Fish and Jemima Morgan, his wife; William Avery and Abigail Williams, his wife. Gr.-gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Stephen Taft and Mary Taft, his wife. Stephen Taft (1710-1803), was a minute man from Uxbridge at the Lexington Alarm. Silas Taft served at the Lexington and Rhode Island Alarms under different commands. Moses Fish served in the ranks during the Revolution. He was born at Groton, Conn., 1758, and was a pensioner when he died at Rome, N. Y., 1836. Thomas Fish turned out in Capt. Z. Hungerford's company, Col. Samuel McClellan's regiment, when Arnold attacked New London. William Avery, 1776, served in Capt. Edward Rogers' company, Col. Fisher Gay's regiment, at Long Island.
