"William (Allen), Boston, made his will, 15 Dec. 1674, and d. soon. In it he gives all his prop. in hands of Jonathan Tyng, or elsewhere, to Lydia, w. of John Benjamin of Watertown, from wh. Bond seems to be justly authoriz. to infer, that Lydia was his d. but it may be doubted, for on 26 of next mo. John Benjamin renounc. the benefit of the will. She may have been his sis. for the will does not call her d. nor can I find any ch. on Boston rec. of b. but sis. or d. prob. the value of his goods was very small."
