    Completely his earthly life in Logan, Utah at age 92, Wayne Garret was born in Garland, Box Elder, Utah to John W. Garrett and Jessie Jones Garrett. He married Dorothy Fox July 11, 1943 at Walla Walla Air Force Base, Washington. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Dorothy passed away September 17, 1989.

    A graduate of Bear River High School and Utah State University with a degree in Business Administration, he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and Old Main Society. A veteran of World War II, he served in the European and Pacific Theater.

    Initially employed in Salt Lake City by General Electric Supply Corporation, following his military service, he returned to Logan. He retired from Cache Valley Electric Company where was the office manager and corporate secretary. Active in Big Blue Club since its inception, Wayne enjoyed all sports, especially baseball.

    Carol Kipp, daughter, and Craig W. Garret, a son; two grandsons Jay C. (Linda) Herstad and Jeffery C. Garret; and three great granddaughters McKenzee, Lexis and Baylee survive. His parents, a sister Edna, a brother Ferris, and his wife Dorothy predeceased Wayne.
